Description:

Invaders is a classic arcade-style game that challenges players to shoot waves of aliens, aiming to maximize their point score. First released in 1978, it quickly became a cultural phenomenon and is widely regarded as one of the earliest "killer apps" for home video game consoles. Its popularity in Japan was so profound that it was suggested to have contributed to a coin shortage of 100 yen coins. By 1982, the game's revenue exceeded that of the recent Star Wars film by threefold. Over the years, it has been ported across numerous gaming platforms, maintaining its status as an enduring classic.

This adaptation strives to faithfully recreate the engaging gameplay within a compact download package. The game features colorful, retro-inspired alien designs descending towards Earth, with the player tasked with eliminating them before they land. Device tilt controls allow for side-to-side movement of the defender ship, which is protected behind brick-wall barriers. As time progresses, the aliens approach more closely; successful shots to the alien spaceship at the top of the screen reward players with additional points.
